The idea of face2face grading is a good one. It encourages those who get low scores to actually look at what the person did wrong. I know usually in my case, I look at the score and never really look at the homework again. This way it forces the person to find out a misunderstanding. That may contribute to the reason why grades seemed to be pretty high in this class.
