Quiz submission record for finalsurvey at Mon Aug 16 22:15:58 2004: Your Answer for Question 1: For the most part, I loved all the projects! They were definitely worthwhile because each of them really made me understand the material better. Projects are also very fun. Granted, they are a lot of work, but it wouldn't be the same without them. It's also nice to work and talk about the project with classmates. lispc - 5: This one was really neat! Though I wish there were pointers to functions! ;p sprintf - 3/4: I thought this project did indeed test MIPS programming abilities but was a bit easy compared to the other ones. proc - 5: I liked the addition of the pipelined processor and forwarding unit, though it would have been cool to add more forwarding paths! (like MEM to EX) interrupts - 5: The interrupts project was really neat, though it would have been nice to have written more of the exception handler in MIPS just to get more of a feel of how it worked (but I know we didn't have much time) Your Answer for Question 2: Face-to-face grading was awesome. I thought it was a great idea! It gave students the advantage of really understanding the material better. Your Answer for Question 3: Verilog is a pretty neat hardware description language. I think structural verilog is by far the hardest because it deals with gates and tests your logic ability! However, I think it is also the most useful. I'm glad some projects required only structural because I was able to better understand how the ALU for instance could be translated directly to hardware. Dataflow and behavioral are much higher level and were easier to learn. Your Answer for Question 4: a) 4: I really enjoyed learning about it! b) +2: Hardware design is indeed very interesting! :D I like anything that is design related. Your Answer for Question 5: +2 I'm interested in all the classes!! (too bad I don't go to berkeley though ;p) Your Answer for Question 6: I wish we covered disk and networks a bit more, especially the networking aspect. I just wanted to learn as much as possible. That's why I was a bit disappointed for no lecture the last week! hehe. Your Answer for Question 7: I think CS61c absolutely ROCKED. The TAs were fabulous and so amazingly awesome at teaching the material. Kurt was a great lecturer too. I really enjoyed the course. The rigor and intensity of it all motivated and excited me a lot. This course really made me realize how much I love learning in general! It also increased my love for CS to a new level!! Bravo! Your unique submission ID is finalsurvey-cs61c-ei-1092719758-2288.
