One thing that makes the reading difficult is the fact that my books are still in the mail. I bought a copy of K & R (I plan on returning it when my cheaper books arrive in the mail). K & R is an extremely dense and terse text; it's pretty hard to read. It's also really old and I can't believe they want $30.25 for a 14 year old used paperback at Ned's.
