Everything seems fine.  I didn't really get the "binary or" stuff from the book (the | thing).  But... maybe I'll ask in discussion.  However, everything else seems okay.  I didn't like the lab though.  The questions seemed kinda vague, but otherwise no real problems.  Nothing so far is really confusing.  2s complement is pretty cool.
