Spatial locality:  When reading the front page of the newspaper, I'll keep all the sections nearby in case I decided to read another.

Temporal locality: While writing checks, I use a pen.  Instead of putting the pen away after writing a check, I'll place it down on the desk in front of me in case I need to use it again.
